Holi, the festival of colours, is a time-honoured tradition celebrated with zest and zeal across India. At Agastya Academy Kindergarten, we celebrated Holi in a manner that aligns with our values of sustainability and eco-friendliness. This year's Holi celebrations showcased our true commitment to encouraging a deep appreciation for nature while creating joyful memories for our children.

Handcrafting Eco-Friendly Colours

The day began with our children enthusiastically collecting the raw materials needed for our eco-friendly colours. Nature's vibrant palette came alive as our little ones handcrafted colours using natural ingredients. With beetroot for red, neem leaves for green, and turmeric for yellow and henna were carefully gathered, filling our entire kindergarten with the delightful aroma of nature bustling workshop of creativity and excitement.

Each child eagerly participated in the preparation process, experiencing the joy of creating something beautiful with their own hands. The Tubs of water were filled with these natural hues adorned our surroundings as we prepared for our celebrations.

Creative and Joyful Process

As beetroot was grated, turmeric was pounded, and neem leaves were ground, laughter and glee filled the air. The sight of the beautiful colours emerging from these natural ingredients brought smiles to every face. The process wasn't just about making colours; it was about bonding, learning, and appreciating the wonders of nature.

With our colours ready, the real fun began. Children applied the natural hues to each other's faces, turning our kindergarten into a canvas of joy and laughter. The infectious energy of the day resonated as children danced and played, immersed in the beauty of eco-friendly celebrations.

To Conclude

As we bid farewell to another memorable Holi celebration, let us carry forward the spirit of sustainability and appreciation for nature in all our endeavours. After all, every splash of colour is a reminder of the vibrant world we live in and the responsibility we have to protect it.

Let's continue to sprinkle the colours of nature on each other and in our lives, knowing that the true beauty of Holi lies in the harmony between humanity and the environment. -Kindergarten Teachers
