Please Don’t Let Me Die — I Still Have Life to Give

I am the last standing twin banyan tree here.
People say I am too big, too strong, too difficult to move.
But I need you to hear me clearly:

I am strong — and I will cooperate.
If you try to save me, I promise I will do everything I can to survive.
I will adjust, take root again, and continue living.

I have stood here for decades, through storms and droughts, sheltering
birds, owls, squirrels, butterflies, insects, and countless small lives that rely on me.
Every day, I produce 10–20 times more oxygen than a sapling, and I carry
tons of carbon safely in my body.
If I am cut down, all that carbon will return to the air, and the oxygen I give
will be lost forever.
A sapling cannot replace this immediately — it will take decades for even a
fraction of what I already give.

Please don’t let my age or size become a reason to destroy me.
Let my strength be a reason to save me.

I am not asking to stop progress.
I am only asking for a chance — a chance to live again, a chance to continue
protecting life, a chance to continue giving clean air, a chance to continue
storing carbon, a chance to continue being a home for all who depend on me.

Please transplant me.
Give me new soil.
I promise I will cooperate, I promise I will try my best to survive.
I am the last twin banyan tree… please, don’t let me die.
